Tour: Sydney Harbour Secrets

Take a tour back in time and experience Sydney’s hidden history.

By Benjamen Judd

A history buff’s dream, Sydney Harbour Secrets will be hosting their last tour for 2016 on November 26.

An adventure that takes you back to Sydney’s early convict days of the British invasion, Sydney Harbour Secrets is a tour like no other – a three hour exploration of the very harbour that makes Sydney a world-famous attraction.

Starting at the Sydney Heritage Fleet Docks in Rozelle, you will embark on an fantastic voyage that takes you to some of the most important sites of Sydney’s past: Goat Island, Garden Island, Mort's Dock, Woolwich Dock, Spectacle, Snapper and the eerie Cockatoo Islands.

So you can learn about the fascinating events that shaped Sydney into what it is today, an experienced Tour Guide will tell you about their historical significance to Sydney Harbour. But be warned, not all stories have a happy ending…

In a stunning touch of authenticity, the boat you will be riding on will be none other than one of the city’s most historical ships, Sydney Heritage Fleet's 1902 Steam Launch Lady Hopetoun.

Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks (it’s a long day, so some sustenance will be required) but afternoon tea and cake will be provided on board by staff.

This is a great opportunity to take a look at Sydney from another angle in all the glory of a beautiful spring day.

Departure is at 12pm sharp from Rozelle and guests are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand. For information on transport, ask our concierge team to help you find the best method of arrival.

The last Sydney Harbour Secrets tour for 2016, hosted by Sydney Heritage Fleet, will take place on November 26.
