Cool Yule at Darling Harbour

Celebrate a winter wonderland in the heart of Sydney’s thriving entertainment district.

By Benjamen Judd

As soon as the mercury begins to drop the urge to curl up and hibernate in the warmth of your room with a decent vintage and good company can be hard to resist. But Sydney comes alive in the cooler months just as much as it does in summer.

To celebrate the wonders of the colder season Darling Harbour, the city’s entertainment precinct, has been transformed into a winter wonderland – Cool Yule

Strap on your ice skates and take a spin around the Cool Yule ice-skating rink presented by Nova 96.9. If you’re a novice, never fear. Ice-skating lessons are available to all ages and you’ll be pirouetting in no time. Or get involved in some competitive snowball action at the Snow Pit.

If you’re after something a little slower in pace, take a walk through the enchanting Frozen Forest brought to life by bewitching lights. And for the kids, sit down and become spellbound by Frosty Fiction and Fun storytelling and activities hosted by the Monkey Baa Theatre Company.

Or if you’re just there for the ambience, tell the world about how much cooler your winter is by snapping some seflies at the Cool Yule Selfie Station.

Cool Yule will take over Darling Harbour until July 17.
