Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
Don’t miss the toe-tapping story of legendary singer and songwriter Carole King.
Sydney has been the epicentre of an endless parade of award-winning musicals, and the critically acclaimed Carole King biopic Beautiful has been a jewel in this entertainment treasure chest.
Now in its final days at The Lyric Theatre, long-time fans and newbies alike have been wowed by incredible performances and non-stop hits by the beloved singer and songwriter.
King first made her mark on the record industry at 17 with her first hit, Will You Love Me Tomorrow. By the time she was twenty, King was writing number ones for some of the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll, including The Drifters, The Shirelles, Aretha Franklin and The Monkees.
Beautiful is the inspiring true story of King’s journey from schoolgirl to superstar; from her relationship with husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, their close friendship and playful rivalry with fellow song-writing duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, to her remarkable rise to stardom.
Some of King’s most iconic hits will be brought to life, including (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, I Feel The Earth Move, Take Good Care of My Baby, You’ve Got a Friend, So Far Away, One Fine Day, It’s Too Late, Tapestry and Locomotion.
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is still showing at The Lyric Theatre until Friday, January 12. Make sure you don’t miss out!
