Art and About presents Australian Life

As spring begins, so does the city become a living, breathing, and interactive work of art.

With the coming of spring, one of the city’s greatest free-to-the-public events takes over the walkways of Hyde Park – Art and About presents Australian Life.

Starting on September 14 and running until October 8, Australian Life is a selection of images taken by Australian photographers and artists depicting life across the country.

From grand, sweeping scenes of activity to intimate encounters, Australian Life presents 22 images that transcend the traditional perception of Australia and our sense of identity.

Beyond the city, beyond the outback even, life in Australia has a diversity not shared by any other country, and the exhibition if a stunning portrayal and celebration of such differences.

The final pictures selected to take part in the exhibition were chosen by a collection of photographers, artists and curators who judged the shots according to their emotive, technical, and artistic merit.

Images were submitted by a variety of emerging and professional photographers from all over the country with the dream of winning the grand prize of $10,000.

Australian Life will take place in Hyde Park, starting on September 14 and running until October 8. The event is free and accessible day and night.
