2017 Tourism Accommodation Awards

Primus Hotel Sydney wins two major TAA NSW Awards, “Redeveloped Hotel of the Year” and “Employee Excellence in Service”

Primus Hotel Sydney takes the jewel of the crown at last night’s 2017 TAA NSW Awards for Excellence, being awarded ‘Redeveloped Hotel of the Year’ at the gala dinner attended by more than 500 hoteliers and hospitality industry leaders.

The prestigious award celebrates significant contribution to the state’s tourism and accommodation sectors, and the redevelopment category specifically honours architectural innovation, interior design and impressive food and beverage offering for guests. 50% of the award is based on an anonymous site inspection.

Primus Hotel Sydney’s Maverick Loh was also awarded the ‘Employee Excellence in Service’ award last night, further cementing the hotel’s position as leader in providing a memorable guest experience.

General Manager, Daniel Muhor has said the TAA NSW Awards are a significant achievement for the hotel and a reflection of the world class service and experience the hotel offers guests.

“Guests love that they are transported to an era of 1930’s glamour with the decadent Art Deco lobby and 5 star personal service from the moment they walk through the doors.”

“These awards showcase the hard work and dedication our team has put into making this hotel a leader in the Australian market. To win a category with such strong nominees across Australia is a huge achievement.”

“We would like to thank Greenland Group for choosing Sydney CBD as its first location for a Primus Hotel in Australia. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support from; Sherwood Luo, General Manager Greenland Australia, Yu Liang Zhang, Chairman and President Greenland Group and Raymond Lee, GIHG General Manager.

Located in the heart of the CBD, the 172-room Primus Hotel Sydney has become a timeless haven of international five-star standards and seamless personal service and is one of the finest examples of Art Deco glamour in Australia.

The hotel delivers a collection of high-end dining and experience offerings, including adjoining restaurant The Wilmot, the grand Lobby Bar and New York style Rooftop pool and bar.
