Student Fashion 2017

Curated by the Museum of Applied Arts and Science, fashion lovers can see for themselves the hottest designers of the future.

If you come to Sydney, one of the most exciting things to immerse yourself in is the luxury world of fashion.

And now, at the Museum of Applied Arts and Science in Ultimo, you can discover who the next big names of the world of style will be – before anyone else does.

Hosted annually, Student Fashion provides an unparalleled glimpse at the exciting potential of Australia’s next generation of fashion designers.

The exhibition showcases outfits from the final-year ranges of top students from four Sydney-based fashion design schools including the Whitehouse Institute of Design and the University of Technology, Sydney.

With inspiration as varied as the rural landscape around Orange and Chinese calligraphy, and fabrications ranging from hand-woven to 3D printed garments, each student presents two signature garments alongside fascinating documentation of their creative process.

The cost of entry into the exhibition is $15 and tickets can be either purchased online or at the door.

Student Fashion is now showing at the Museum of Arts and Applied Science in Ultimo until 8 October.
