Fine tailoring, footwear, and a penchant for fine whiskies – Oscar Hunt is the gentleman’s retail destination.
A good suit is one of the cornerstones of a stylish man’s wardrobe, but with so many made-to-measure offers on the rise it’s good to know where the quality really lies.
And whether you’re in Sydney for a short stop or extended layover, if you’re in the market for a new suit or much-needed style update then look no further than Oscar Hunt.
Since opening their first showroom in Melbourne back in 2010, Oscar Hunt has cemented themself as one of Australia’s leading made-to-measure craftsmen for quality suiting.
From the first consultation, you are given intimate advice on the fabrication and appropriate fit that your suit will make. Having your measure taken is one thing, but where Oscar Hunt excels is guaranteeing a level of personalisation. Whether it’s the where the hem or the waistband sits or the taper of the leg, they will talk you through how each of these fine details will look on the finished product – and offer some frank, and welcome, advice on the overall result.
You can choose from over 3500 varieties of fabrics including linen, cashmere, Australian merino wool and an endless variety of blends. In fact, don’t be surprised if you find yourself struggling to make a final decision.
This month, the Oscar Hunt team announced a new footwear service. The range of cordwainer shoes are made using the Goodyear welt process to create a long-lasting, comfortable shoe that you’ll more than likely outlive you!
While bookings are recommended, you can still head down to the showroom and take a look at the Oscar Hunt process. And maybe even enjoy a whiskey at the in-store bar.
