Harrolds

Luxury brands abound at Sydney’s go-to store for high-end fashion

By Benjamen Judd

Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Ellery, Comme des Garcons Homme PlusHarrolds is Sydney’s premier destination for high end fashion labels, offering an unparalleled retail experience stocking the world’s biggest, and newest, brands.

The Harrolds story began in 1985 when owner John Poulakis opened the first store on Collins Street in Melbourne.

In these early days, Harrolds was the place to go for men who knew the importance of a well-cut suit and had a penchant for Italian tailoring.

Eventually, a second store was launched in Sydney, just off Pitt Street, and the cult of Harrolds grew, garnering a reputation as the go-to place for menswear beyond the common garb sported by the average Australian man.

Since then, Harrolds has become the epitome of luxury, with their own in-house tailoring and hosting regular VIP nights. The store also boasts the prestige of being the exclusive stockist for Tom Ford.

In 2015 they launched their first dedicated womenswear store, replicating the same, fine aesthetic that has propelled its menswear.

To this day, Harrolds remains family-run, offering a unique retail experience – the high-end luxury of high-end department store combined with the intimate service and experience of a hidden boutique.
